Lt. Governor the Honourable Graydon Nicholas

On Sunday, Feb. 19th, St. Mark's United Church will be welcoming a special guest to our pulpit: Lt. Governor the Honourable Graydon Nicholas will be presenting the message to the congregation and to the Scouts & Guides who will also be in attendance celebrating Lord Baden-Powell Sunday.  There will be a soup, sandwich & dessert luncheon following the service.  Tickets for this gathering will be $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, and can be obtained either by contacting the church office (672-3320) or any member of our choir.  All are welcome, but seating is limited.

Mother Goose,

Mother Goose, a program of stories, games, crafts, snack and activities will be offered at Glen View United Church, 8 Upland Rd, East Saint John, on Mondays from 10 am -11:30 am beginning January 23. For more information or to register please phone 696-3773. In case of snow, the program will be cancelled when the school system is.

RESPECT

RESPECT,  training for RESPECT, a program that helps children (middle-late elementary)  develop respect for themselves, others and their community will take place at Glen View United Church, 8 Upland Road, East Saint John throughout the day on Friday, February 3. This is a grass roots program developed by the Chipman Community Care and offered throughout the province. It has community impact decreasing bullying and vandalism.  The one day training is Free but if you wish to offer the program there is a $500 tool kit available through the community group. Register 696-3773 or if you would like more information ask to speak to Kathi at the church or Faith Kennedy, of the Chipman Youth Centre

Position Title: Youth and Young Families Minister
Position Terms:13 hours per week; flexible hours, not necessarily to be on-site every Sunday.
$13.00-$15.00 per hour depending on experience.
Up to $500 per-annum for continuing education.
Key Objectives:
Work with our minister and congregational members to foster growth and development of church programs for youth and young families.
